Our mission is to provide a state-of-the-art center for the education of aspiring and practicing nurses who will lead the transformation of healthcare.
Rhode Island Nursing Education Center (RINEC) is a Providence-based facility for baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral level nursing instruction within the state’s public higher education system.
Located on the first three floors of the old South Street Power Station, RINEC is comprised of state-of-the-art classroom, lab, simulation and office spaces.
This new shared nursing education center does not supplant existing campus-based facilities, but rather increases the capacity of Rhode Island College School of Nursing (RIC SON) and University of Rhode Island College of Nursing (URI CON) to educate and train more nursing students at the baccalaureate and graduate levels.
RINEC is a state-of-the-art shared facility that is leading the education pathway for aspiring and practicing nurses through classroom and simulation experience.
